Oh my goodness. I'm not even a huge fan of eggs bennie but those look amazing. I might steal a bite if you don't mind.

Yummy. I love eggs when the yolk is soft.

Mona, these were just simply poached; you ain't seen eggs bennie yet, girl! I've two favourites... California bennies, with thanks to my chef-ly cousin Chris; Newport Blues eggs bennie, with thanks to Syd's old sous chef, Jonathan.

Ah, a rare, but oh so welcome treat.

*Deetsa shudders with luxurious delight at the picture of liquid sunshine undulating over the egg whites and pooling on the plate.* Well, come on! "mmmm..runny egg yolks" just doesn't cut it as food prose ;)

There's nothing like a perfectly poached egg - all runny sitting on top of one's favorite bread product. My personal favorite is challah, but English muffins do nicely.

Thanks for sharing. I feel my cholestrol soaring just looking at your great photos.

Deetsa, that is simply marvelous prose! Bravo!

Welcome, thtam, I hope you stick around!

A ten interesting things meme, Mona? I'm a rather dull girl, but we'll see if I can't dig something up. ;)

Ruth, 2005 was DucCat's own personal year of the poached egg. I'd say he's got it just about perfect!
